"I've used this handy tool to recover photos and files from 2 computers where the windows xp operating system was so corrupt it wouldn't load. I just booted off the usb, loaded Ubuntu Linux and transferred the family photos off. Replacing the damage hard drive was then easy without risking losing any data. Rescuing those files was very important, there wasn't any backup."
