Who are you?

RescueMeUSB.com™ was founded by a "geek" with over 25 years of IT and Information Security experience in various fields (Software Development, Engineering, Insurance, Medical, etc) in large Corporations and in Education.
RescueMeUSB.com is a "pet" project that was developed because I needed a tool like this in countless situations.
Yes, I really do use my own device -- almost every day!!

We initially sold RescueMeUSB to friends and colleagues who saw it and liked it. We built this site to make them available to others.

Why are you asking for Date of Birth on the Registration page?

You must be at least 18 years of age to use this site -- children should not be using this website.
We feel that we have a duty and a responsibility to maintain the integrity of our online community AND to ensure that the people purchasing our products are legally permitted to do so, by ensuring that our site members are of legal age. The best way to do this is the request Date of Birth to calculate age when members register.
Remember: the ONLY other identifying information we have about our Users are: "Username" (which the User chooses) and "Email Address" (which the User supplies). Therefore, from a Privacy perspective, this should not be enough information to identify you.
As a general rule, we HIGHLY DISCOURAGE you from creating an account using your real name OR using an Email Address that contains your real name. These are just useful and commonsense tips that will keep your personal information secure while visiting ANY website.
Parents: if you are concerned about controlling where your children are browsing, consider using tools such as: Net Nanny, Cybersitter, Surf Watch, or Cyber Patrol

Why do we have to wait for a Registration Confirmation Email; why can't we Login immediately when we Register?

This is done to prevent Spammers/Bots from bombarding the site with fake User Registrations. If we didn't do this, the site could become unreliable as 1000's of fake accounts could be created within minutes.

Why can't I just download the code?

Wish it were that easy!!
Unfortunately, a mult-boot USB stick is not that easy to build with the combination of Operating Systems we offer ... in addition the Flash Drive "geometry" is a factor. The only way to make sure it works, is if we build it and test it

Can you make me a custom version of RescueMeUSB.com with X, Y, Z Operating System on there?
